One person CAN make a difference

difference1.jpgBarbara Smaller has taken over the New Yorker’s cartoon blog — they have so many blogs now — for the month of March. Her aims are modest: She will “try to be of service to my fellow freelancers and other under- and unemployed persons. I shall touch on what I consider to be pertinent topics, including real estate that one may purchase for the price of a caffeinated beverage, the Jungian collective unconsciousness that is daytime television, the ever popular subject of where one gets one’s ideas, and then, just to be of some real use, health care and my quest for a single-payer system. After all, whatever our current status, we all came into this world as independent contractors and we all go out the same way.” So true.
