*Kara Zuaro’s awesome book I Like Food, Food Tastes Good, which was hands-down the most fun book I ever worked on at my old job, is blowing up! Liesl Schillinger raved about it in today’s Styles section, which for me meant that my doom’n'gloomy perusal of that joy-killing part of the newspaper (I once took a break from reading it for six months because I realized it was depressing me and now I absolutely must read it for my job, ohnoes) was enlivened by a moment of stunned, gasping happiness. YAY KARA! YAY I LIKE FOOD! Go BUY IT! Also watch Kara on Fuse this Weds at 6 on ‘The Sauce,’ talking about the book and possibly meeting Scott Weiland. Psych! An update from Kara: “My apologies to those who’ve already set their TiVos, but in order to do a slightly longer cooking segment, the folks at Fuse changed my appearance on “The Sauce” to this Thursday, May 24, between 6 and 7 p.m. Velvet Revolver won’t be there, but Seth Rogen from “Freaks and Geeks” and the new movie, “Knocked Up,” will be around instead.”
